We are delighted with this progress that the lift made possible. Some areas were rebuilt and some sanded and painted. Our masons did an amazing job rebuilding 4 of the chimneys. Check out the progress on the Jackson side if you’re in the area.

Jordan brought the muscle today while John Estes drove the lift to safety. We buried it up to the axels with all the rain recently. Come by and check out our work on the Capitol Ave side! Now that it’s safely in its new spot we can get to work on the Jackson side. The lift has also made it possible for our masons to rebuild four of our five chimneys. They look amazing! Jordan & John - Thank you for your help today!

Julie caught us working on the front of this attic dormer yesterday. Today, we finished the side! The side you see in the Newstribune photo shows original shingles that had been covered with roofing shingles over the years. We stripped it clean and hung new shingles and trim. Another project - done!

The Ivy Terrace project has been about more than a house from day one. As most know, the work is being done by three siblings, with the support of their friends and family. In the process, it unexpectedly built new and stronger bonds across these families and generations. We lost one of our family recently. This picture, from one of the many family/friends events at Ivy Terrace, captures the amazing love between two people who are the epitome of selfless support to us and our community. Denis will be missed by all, but his love and laughter will forever be in our hearts.

Another nearly finished ceiling! This is Maggie’s bedroom with the light that was in place when we bought her. Not the original, probably from the 1920s, but so fitting for this space. This room will be used by Ana Marie’s bridesmaids in the future.

We missed working at Ivy Terrace this past weekend to attend our niece’s wedding (which was beautiful!). While in Virginia we did some antiquing with our 4th sibling and found this. We are so excited! Do you know what it is?
