Clancy Days parade 2026 was amazing! Check out their page for more pictures.

I love that our members were able to volunteer in different areas around the event. Some drove the trucks and tossed candy, which allowed other members to volunteer for the VFW and American Legion MT Post 46 color guard. We also had other members at informational tables throughout the event.

Thank you to everyone for showing up. I hope ya'll had fun, went home with some goodies and a lot of candy.

We can't wait to see you next year!!

"Embrace every opportunity to increase your knowledge" -Mike Holt

JCVFD had the opportunity to see Chief Grace Williams and Captain Gabe Gillmore head to Dillon for Montana's DNRC academy. Seven days of continuous training, rain or shine. While Gabe took on the engine boss class and Grace took the indepth basic wildland course, sadly the field days were cut short due to rain. But, ended with medical and fire shelter training.

Finally, hoping to improve her leadership skills, Grace completed the two day leadership class.

Seven days of multiple classes wrapped up onto one campus. It takes an amazing team, to pull the cadre together, setup up food and room, preparing everything from top to bottom. Thank you Montana DNRC for putting on this training opportunity.

FYI for those that might be affected.

This afternoon, JCVFD was called out for a mutual aid request on a wildfire in our neighboring district to the north. Firefighters from Jefferson City along with other VFDs along with State and Federal units helped Clancy VFD with fire containment and mop up.

It’s getting to be that time of year. It looks like we’ve got some needed moisture coming this weekend, but as summer progresses and we get the typical afternoon thunderstorms, as much as anyone we’ll be relying on you - the citizens of our district - to keep your eyes open for lightning-caused fires and smoke in the hills.

Good mutual aid response and team effort as we shift toward wildland season.

Great video with some great information. Right now, we are working on putting on a CPR class at the community center. More information coming soon.

FYI: The Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest has increased staffing to a Type 3 Organization on the Jericho Creek Fire north of Jefferson County in anticipation of conducting a burnout operation this weekend, likely on Sunday. Smoke will be visible throughout the area.
