Congratulations to Representative Ed Lewis on his appointment by Speaker Jon Patterson to the Statewide Council Against Adult Trafficking and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children.

Rep. Lewis played a leading role during the 2026 legislative session as House handler of HB 2273, landmark legislation that strengthens Missouri's efforts to combat human trafficking, protect children from exploitation, support victims, and hold offenders accountable.

His appointment reflects his commitment to protecting Missouri's most vulnerable and ensuring our state continues to lead the fight against human trafficking through prevention, education, collaboration, and stronger protections for victims.

House Bill 2974 has been signed into law by Governor Mike Kehoe. This will strengthen our state’s healthcare workforce by improving professional licensure reciprocity, making it easier for qualified healthcare providers licensed in other states to practice in Missouri. By reducing unnecessary barriers, this new law helps expand access to care, especially in rural communities

Governor Mike Kehoe signed House Bill 2372 into law, a comprehensive healthcare package combining several pieces of legislation aimed at improving healthcare access and services for Missourians. This bill also supports mental health initiatives and establishes new awareness days to recognize important health conditions.

July, 2025 - Omaha Beach, Normandy, France. Missouri House Speaker Jon Patterson pays tribute to the fallen American soldiers who gave their lives during liberation of France in World War II. The Normandy American Cemetery preserves the remains of nearly 9,400 Americans who died during the allied invasion, including 232 Missourians.

This bill modernizes how election notices are delivered, designates Election Worker Appreciation Day, updates filing deadlines, clarifies the timeline for testing tabulating equipment, and establishes provisions regarding bond elections.
