The 2026 Missouri legislative session is over – and together, we made real progress for reproductive freedom in Missouri.

This session, advocates, providers, partners, and supporters helped:

🎉 Pass annual supply of contraception, so individuals will be able to obtain a yearlong supply of birth control at one time for generic and brand-name contraceptives starting in January.

📢 Get a first hearing on a bill to expand access to emergency contraception for survivors of sexual assault.

🤝 Hold two advocacy days in the Capitol to amplify Beacon’s work supporting access to high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare.

While there are lots of things to be angry over when it comes to attacks on reproductive freedom, there is a glimmer of good news: the Missouri Legislature passed a bipartisan bill that expands access to an annual supply of birth control to all Missourians. 🎉

This is a big step in ensuring all Missourians have the freedom to decide if, when, and how they expand their family, and it would not have happened without you.
