Due to necessary safety renovations, the Legislative Library main area is closed off until further notice.

All regular Legislative Library services will remain accessible during this period.

The Legislative Librarian will still be in the building for questions and consultation from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

We can still be contacted by phone (573-751-4633), by email ([email protected]) , or through the chat service on the library website (www.senate.mo.gov/legislativelibrary). We will continue to be available to assist legislators, staff, and members of the public with any questions or research needs.

Some book checkouts will be halted while our collections are unavailable for access. The library itself will not be open for tour groups. However, the specialized research tools on the library website are still available anywhere in the Capitol building. The library’s historical materials are also still accessible through our digitization efforts and through the work of the Missouri State Archives.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope to re-open the library main area as soon as possible.
