Nearly 60 of Missouri’s top college student leaders, chosen by their school, gathered this year for the Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum — and the impact was undeniable.
From meaningful dialogue with statewide leaders to powerful peer connections across universities, this year’s Forum was more than an event — it was a catalyst.

These students represent the future of Missouri. They are thinkers. Builders. Servant leaders. Innovators. And they left equipped with greater vision, stronger networks, and a deeper commitment to lead with integrity.

The Forum continues to serve as a statewide platform where leadership meets responsibility — and where Missouri’s emerging leaders are challenged to think bigger than themselves.

Leadership isn’t about having it all together. It’s about having the courage to be real.

Today at the Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum, students had the opportunity to hear from Chelsea Goodson on the power of embracing vulnerability.

In a world that often tells leaders to “be strong” and “don’t let them see you sweat,” Chelsea challenged our students to redefine strength — not as perfection, but as authenticity.

✨ Vulnerability builds trust.
✨ Vulnerability deepens connection.
✨ Vulnerability unlocks growth.

When leaders are willing to share their struggles, failures, and lessons learned, they create space for others to do the same. That’s where real influence begins.

To the students across Missouri represented here this week:
May you lead boldly.

And may you never confuse vulnerability with weakness.
