Cole County CERT COLE COUNTY CERT - Community Emergency Response Team The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.)

Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, C.E.R.T. members are able to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

The next Cole County CERT Meeting is at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29th. The meeting will be at the Cole County Emergency Management Agency office, 1736 Southridge Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. All team members as well as anyone interested in learning more about CERT are encouraged to attend.

Good Afternoon Cole County CERT!
I received approval from FEMA to start up Cole County / Jefferson City CERT last Friday.
Also, last week I attended the CERT conference and completed the train the trainer course.
I realize how invaluable this program is and also that we are one of the few counties that do not have an active team.
All that being said, if you were an active member and are interested in participating again please reach out to me.
We will have a class scheduled in October for the CERT basic.
