Did you know? The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology is home to one of only two surviving Mark II Snow Inhalers. John Snow, the first physician to specialize in anesthesia, pioneered the use of ether and chloroform and helped advance anesthesia for childbirth despite widespread opposition.

Legislation prohibiting health insurers from imposing time limits on anesthesia coverage has been signed into law in Missouri.
