🎙️ A new episode of the Show Me State of Mind podcast is now available!

In “A Life’s Work in Recovery: Percy Menzies on Innovation, Leadership & Hope,” Missouri Behavioral Health Council President and CEO Brent McGinty sits down with longtime friend and nationally recognized substance use treatment leader Percy Menzies.

Percy shares the story of leaving a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry to follow a new calling—one that would eventually lead him to found Assisted Recovery Centers of America and become a leading advocate for evidence-based addiction treatment.

Their conversation explores the relationships that helped shape Percy’s journey, Missouri’s leadership in the use of medications to treat substance use disorders, the development and future of RecoVet, the importance of family, and what gives Percy hope as the substance use treatment field continues to evolve.

This episode is a powerful reflection on taking risks, challenging the status quo, and dedicating a career to helping others find a path to recovery.
