Farewell to Bravo Company 7-158th GSAB

Even though I didn’t know many of you on a personal level, hearing that Bravo Company 7-158th GSAB out of Kansas is shutting down and disbanding truly saddens me. As a recruiter, I had the chance to meet some of you at a career fair, and I was impressed by the professionalism, pride, and dedication you carried as Soldiers.

It’s never easy to see a unit with so much history and hard work come to an end. I just want to wish every one of you the very best as you move forward into the next chapter of your careers and lives.

If there’s ever anything I can do to help you along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll do whatever I can to support you.

One hundred years ago today, the 110th Observation Squadron, 110th Intelligence Section and 110th Photo Section of the Missouri National Guard were federally recognized. What began as a small group of men in St. Louis with a single aircraft purchased using the 110th OS officers' personal funds has grown into a highly lauded unit composed of hundreds of service members across the state working to support the people of Missouri. Today, the 131st Bomb Wing is the only Air National Guard unit currently certified for nuclear operations. We've come a long way from that first Curtiss JN-4 Jenny!

Thank you for your service and support over the past century and cheers to continuing this legacy for the next hundred years.

It was an amazing experience to see Angela Gonzalez enlistment at Park Hill High School into the Air National Guard! Lt Col Stepp also graduated from Park Hill and was able to enlist Angela into the 180th Airlift Squadron. We are excited to have you join our team Angela!
