MO ARNG Soldiers, MO School Certifying Officials and many others. Today is my final day as the MO ARNG Education Services Specialist. It's been an honor, privelage and blessing to serve the MO ARNG for the past 11.5 years. The rewarding part of the job is to hear when a Soldier has earned their degree. The hard part is being the bearer of bad news and inform a Soldier they failed to meet the deadline on time for submitting applications at least seven days prior to the start of class.
There are many people to thank and there's no way to name everyone. We've had six Education Services Officers during my first eight years, over 36 different Soldiers worked in the education center and many OUTSTANDING NCOs.
Thank you to ALL of the 95 School Certifying Officials (SCO) in MO that have been truly amazing, patient and professional throughout the years of GoArmyEd, AIED 1.0 and AIED 2.0. There's no way I could be a SCO and I salute you! A special thanks to three special near and dear to my heart ladies, and unfortunately it would be inappropriate to mention you by name (RZ, AW, CS) because someone would complain of me being impartial.
Thank you to the NCOs, the backbone of the Army, that lead their Soldiers. I wish you had an idea of how many phone calls and emails I get from Missouri Army National Guard Recruiting even on nights and weekends going above and beyond their recruting job to help their Soldiers use their education benefits.
Finally, thank you Soldiers. Without you, I wouldn't have had this job, opportunity and blessing. Please be proactive, submit your applications on time and correctly, don't expect someone else to do it for you, study and pass your courses.
The words "Soldier for Life" have more meaning after 38 years with the Army.
Eventually NGB will replace me in the Missouri National Guard Education and Incentives office. In the meantime, please contact Mrs. Mary Vrbanac at 512-763-0820 or [email protected] if you need assistance with your Federal TA.
It's time for me to go and see our great Country I've been so blessed and honored to serve!
Thank you for your service to our Country.
"Be Proud of who you are.
Be Proud of what you are.
Be Proud of what you represent"
Sincerely,
Bryan Steele

You may submit your Fed TA applications up to 60 days prior to the start of class. Applications MUST be submitted at least seven days prior to the start of class and be approved prior to the first day of class. Make sure the course number, course name, start date, end date and number of credit hours for the course matches your course schedule. If your course is part of spring 2 and starts in March, you must wait until January once you're within 60 days of the start date to submit an application. Submit one Fed TA request at a time. The reason for submitting one at a time is just in case you decide to drop or withdrawal prior to the first day of class and you click on the cancel button, it will only cancel that Fed TA request. If your school decides to cancel a class for some reason you can click on the cancel button, but if you submit all of your applications at the same time and click the cancel button, it will cancel all of your applications and not just the one class.
