We spent another fun afternoon at Greene County Elementary School with members of the Greene County Peace Officers Association. We were joined by the Life Flight crew who landed onsite. Students in 2nd grade had the opportunity to interact with law enforcement and get an up close look at Life Flight’s helicopter. Thanks again to Greene County Elementary School for having us visit.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office will host a countywide training for first responders in Greene County on Thursday, July 31st, at 12:00 PM. This will include a disaster drill in collaboration with the Greene County Community School District. Several entities will participate, including ambulance and fire departments, as well as the Greene County Medical Center.

There will be many emergency vehicles in the City of Jefferson during this time. Because visuals can be concerning, we wanted to make sure everyone knew this is a TRAINING EXERCISE only.
