Last Friday, our property located at 3626 Station Avenue in Ashtabula was destroyed by a fire. The cause has not been determined. The building was vacant and slated for demolition later this winter and had no active utility connections. We are taking additional steps to ensure our properties are secured and not open to trespassing.
Thank you to the Ashtabula City Fire Department, Ashtabula Township Fire Department, Saybrook Fire Department, and the Ashtabula City Police Department. Their swift response prevented the fire from causing major damage to adjacent structures.
Due to the extreme temperatures, temporary warming shelters are available for unsheltered individuals at the following locations throughout the county:
β’ First Baptist Church, 4353 Park Avenue, Ashtabula
β’ The Rock Church, 256 Liberty Street, Conneaut
β’ Geneva City Council Chamber, 44 N. Forrest Street, Geneva
β’ Jefferson Recreation Center, 256 Liberty Street, Jefferson
β’ Orwell Fire Department, 72 E. Main Street, Orwell
