A Life Saved. A Family Kept Whole.
On March 30, 2026, members of Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company Station 20 responded alongside our EMS partners with DFRS to a cardiac arrest. Through immediate CPR, rapid defibrillation, advanced life support, and seamless teamwork, crews were able to restore the patient’s pulse and provide the critical care needed to get him safely to the cardiac catheterization lab.
Because of the quick actions, training, and unwavering dedication of everyone involved, that patient made a full recovery and was able to return home to the people who love him.
Tonight, our members were honored by the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services with the Recognition of EMS Excellence award. While we are incredibly humbled by this recognition, the greatest reward isn’t a certificate—it’s knowing someone was given another chance at life.
Every training night, every late-night call, every hour volunteered, and every sacrifice made by our members is for moments like this.
