Education, License, and Experience Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent, Required
• Must obtain Grade 2 Water Treatment License, Required to obtain
• Must obtain Grade 2 Water Distribution Operators License, Required to obtain
• Must obtain Grade 2 Water Treatment License, Required to obtain
• Must obtain Plumbing Inspectors License, Required to obtain
• Minimum three years' experience in similar working environment, Preferred.
• Be able to operate machines and equipment, Preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform daily test of water samples and make any adjustments and additions to system
• Perform duties in compliance with State and Federal Regulations
• Perform duties in compliance with JSDWUA employee policies
• Respond to Emergency calls after hours
• Required to check plant, alternate weekends
• Maintenance of buildings and grounds
• Minor repairs to equipment
• Completing customer service calls
• Flush distribution mains and free hydrants in a regular program
• Read meters
• Disconnect meters for non-payment
• Maintain inventory
This position description is not intended to be all inclusive. It is expected to cover most of the tasks that will normally be required as a part of the job. However, as a part of performing the normal job function, other less routine tasks may be required in order to satisfactorily complete the job. In addition, as conditions dictate, the General Manager may assign additional tasks.
