Joanne and Jim Stacey provided a roarsome adventure about Dinosaurs this morning! The Children were transformed into mini-paleontologists by using tiny shovels and tools to conduct hands-on "excavations" of replica fossils in sensory bins provided by the program hosts. It was the perfect way to blend science with imagination through hands-on activities, games, and stories! Below are photos of this thrilling event.

Approximately 60 students attended our second Summer Story Hour. Karen Gleason and Tom Moss were the hosts. The theme of this presentation was finding artifacts through metal detection and passing down historical information by means of time capsules. The children were enamored with artifacts dating back 150 years ago. Many thanks to our presenters, helpers, and attendees who contributed to another successful Summer Reading Program!

The kick off to the Summer Reading Program has begun! Thank you to hosts Stacy Mills and Katie Blackwell for an explosive lesson on volcanos! Approximately 55 children witnessed a homemade volcano erupt, and took home their very own piece of lava rock! Here are photos from the event!
