Please see below for a special note from our cafeteria manager, Ms. Tammy. We are going to miss her so!
As this school year comes to an end, so does a very special chapter in my life. After 26 years in the school system, my time is coming to a close.
Over the years, I’ve had the blessing of serving in many roles—from subbing in classrooms, to teaching reading, to driving a bus, and finally becoming the cafeteria manager. Every step of this journey has meant the world to me, and I wouldn’t trade these memories for anything.
What I will treasure the most are the students—past and present. I will truly miss all of you. I will especially miss my babies here at JES. From hearing “Hey, Ms. Tammy!” every day, to the hugs in the lunch line, to those sweet little “I love you’s,” and even hearing “The food is delicious”—those moments have filled my heart more than words can say.
Before I leave, I want to remind everyone that if your child has money left in their lunch account, it will carry over into next year. And for those moving on to New Heights, your balance will go with you there as well.
I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful, safe, and fun summer. And just because I’m retiring doesn’t mean you won’t see me—I’ll be in and out. I’ve got to come back and check on all my babies.
Thank you all for allowing me to be part of your lives. You have truly been a blessing to me.
With love,
Mrs. Tammy
