Yesterday, officers from several departments in the county participated in a couple kickball games put on by Jefferson County Human Services and the Youth Advisory Board. Fun was had by all and it was great to interact with youth from the community.

Officer Harring-Spoerl stopped by the local blood drive to help with the national blood supply crisis. This is only the second time in history the American Red Cross has declared this.

Wow! What an amazing turnout Wednesday! We would like to thank all our community partners for attending the 11th annual Jefferson National Night out.

With so many different groups to thank, from Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Community groups, Non-Profits, National Guard, local businesses, and everyone in between, Thank you!

With so many coming together Wednesday it would be difficult to mention all of you individually but know that your organizations and efforts make Jefferson a great place to live, work, and visit. We truly appreciate these relationships and look forward to next year!

Goat Fest is taking place tomorrow at Rotary Park. The City wants to make the community aware of the following traffic impacts:

Road & Parking Closures: S. Gardner Ave and adjacent parking lots will be closed between W. Linden Drive and W. Dodge St for the duration of the event.

Alternate Parking: Attendees and residents needing to park in the area are encouraged to use the Tyson Drop lot (just over the railroad tracks) or other designated public parking areas — see map below. There is access to the park from the lot using the West side near the river to access paths near the fish ladder by the dam.

Please use caution when traveling through the area, as increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic is expected.

A quick reminder next week, August 5, 2026 is Jefferson's 11th Annual National Night Out located at Jefferson Middle School (501 S Taft Avenue) from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Some things to look forward to are:

-Helicopter Displays
-Food Trucks (Food for purchase)
-Giveaways
-Wisconsin Skydiving will do a jump at 7:00pm for America's 250
-Music

And so much more!

The Jefferson Food Pantry is also asking for donations or free will offerings at their table the night of the event.

Come meet your local police officers, firefighters, EMS, and other public employees.

Un breve recordatorio: la 11.ª edición anual del evento "National Night Out" de Jefferson se llevará a cabo la próxima semana, el 5 de agosto de 2026, en la escuela Jefferson Middle School (501 S Taft Avenue), de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.
