Today students from several local fire departments completed the written and physical exams for the South Carolina Fire Academy’s 48 hour Driver-Pumper course. Over the last month students spent their evenings and some Saturdays absorbing the knowledge to prepare them as pump operators. We thank each and every one of them for their time, hardwork, and dedication.

Funeral Arrangements for PRS Life Member Janet C. Jordan:

Date- Wednesday May 13, 2026
Time- Visitation-3pm/Funeral-4pm
Location- Fairview Baptist Church 7519 Hwy 265

All emergency personnel will be seated together, all Emergency Vehicles to be in place by 2:20pm at the church.

Prayers for Janet Jordan’s family during these difficult times, as well as for Pageland Rescue and Highpoint Fire. Janet was known in public safety all around and will be greatly missed.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Life Member Janet Jordan. Ms. Jordan devoted 39 years of dedicated service to the Pageland Rescue Squad as a paramedic, including several years in the role of Squad Secretary. Throughout her tenure, she was a constant and valued presence, exemplifying commitment, professionalism, and care for both her fellow members and the community she served.

Ms. Jordan’s contributions have left a lasting impact on this organization, and her legacy of service will not be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all members of the Pageland Rescue Squad.

Today is International Firefighters Day. We would love to take this moment to honor firefighters everywhere who continue to put their lives on the lines each day to keep our communities safe. This is a constant reminder of the commitment, sacrifice and brotherhood that is shared across the fire safety. Today just like everyday we stand in remembrance of the fallen and appreciation of those who continue to serve. Please take a moment to reflect, remember and thank a firefighter 🙏🏻. Today students completed the 40 hour Emergency Vehicle Driver Training through South Carolina State Fire. This is the first step to becoming a driver operator. Next Pump Operator!!!!!! We would like to thank each and everyone of the students for their committed time to training for the fire service.
