Over the last several weeks, members of the department have been hard at work preparing the station for the summer season by completing cleaning, maintenance, and beautification projects throughout the property.

Thanks to the generous support of the Firefighters Association, we were able to purchase beautiful hanging flower baskets and install permanent exterior lighting at the station. These improvements help enhance the appearance of our station and create a welcoming environment for the community we proudly serve.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and commitment of our members. Their continued hard work and volunteer spirit make the service we provide to our community possible each and every day.

Earlier this week, members of the Jefferson Fire Department had the opportunity to visit Jefferson Elementary School to participate in Career Day.

Our firefighters enjoyed spending time with the students, sharing information about the fire service, discussing the responsibilities of being a firefighter, and answering questions about the profession.

This month’s training focused on hose deployment techniques and nozzle control. Members dedicated time to improving their proficiency and confidence in deploying hose lines and effectively managing nozzle operations.

Over the past several days, our members have remained actively engaged in both training and station upkeep.

Five members attended the Volunteer Firefighter Weekend in Columbus, where they participated in courses focused on pump operations and initial company operations. Additionally, three members completed training on recent fire code updates, ensuring we continue to provide the highest level of service to our community.

In between training commitments, our personnel have also been hard at work preparing the station for the spring season.

We are proud of our members’ continued dedication to training, professionalism, and maintaining a ready and well-kept facility.
