The 2026 Ashtabula County Solid Waste District Tire Amnesty Day was a tremendous success! Over 620 households utilized the event, collecting just shy of 5000 tires.

Thanks to the participation of our residents and the hard work of our partners, these scrap tires were properly collected and diverted from illegal dumping sites, roadways, and the environment.

A special thank you goes to County Administrator Janet Discher for volunteering, Jefferson Village Police Department for assisting with traffic control and public safety throughout the event, and to the Ashtabula County Fair Board for providing an excellent venue and helping make the day run smoothly.

Programs like Tire Amnesty Day show what can be accomplished when local government, community organizations, and residents work together toward a common goal. Until next year, visit our website at www.ashtabulacounty.us for more recycling opportunities.
