🎉 The final stop of our Mascot on Main tour with University of Wisconsin-Whitewater! 🐝💜

We wrapped up our tour at Fort Community Credit Union, where we had the opportunity to sit down with Whitney Townsend and Kendra Lozano for a great conversation about FCCU's history, mission, and commitment to financial inclusion and serving the residents of our community.

FCCU has a rich history in Jefferson and is proudly housed in one of Jefferson’s historic buildings right on Main Street. Their dedication to strengthening our community and helping residents achieve financial success is truly something to celebrate.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Janet Werner.

Janet exemplified the very best of community service and spirit. Through decades of selfless dedication, she touched countless lives and left a lasting legacy grounded in the true meaning of “Service Above Self.” Her ongoing commitment to Jefferson left an indelible imprint across our city and will continue to inspire generations to come.

It was our honor to present Janet with the Lifetime Achievement Award this year in recognition of her extraordinary service, commitment, and dedication to Jefferson throughout the decades.

As your newest Executive Director of the Chamber and Tourism, I was continually grateful for Janet’s kindness. Every time our paths crossed, she offered encouraging words, support, and a genuine reminder of what it means to serve a community you love.

Filling Janet’s shoes and continuing the legacy she built is an honor—and a responsibility we carry with great pride. We find comfort knowing Janet now rests in the loving arms of our Lord. We pray that as she watches her work continue through all of us, she can rest easy, keep smiling, and know that her legacy lives on.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Janet’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. We mourn alongside you and will forever be grateful for the extraordinary mark Janet left on Jefferson.

As our community says farewell to The Drug Store, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the entire Drugstore team for their years of dedicated service.

For many years, The Drugstore and its staff have been an important part of our community, providing not only essential services, but also compassionate, personal, and caring support to the individuals and families they served. Their commitment to the well-being of our community has been deeply valued and will not be forgotten.

As The Drugstore closes this chapter, we are grateful for the many contributions the business and its dedicated team have made to our community.

🏁 What a great weekend at Jefferson Speedway!

The Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson WI Tourism joined the UW-University of Wisconsin-Whitewater UW-Whitewater College of Business and Economics this past weekend for the unveiling of #23 and the “Driving Innovation 50.”

It was the perfect way to experience “We’re Going Outside” with the family! 🏎️💨 From various classes of cars racing around the track to driver interviews, concessions, and plenty of excitement, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
