Reminder: starting this Monday 8/24.

A portion of Grand Avenue will be closed starting Monday, August 24th for approximately one (1) week to replace a collapsing drainage pipe. This will affect traffic as follows:

* Bluebird Lane will be closed at Grand Avenue and will have access
to Watterson Trail only

* Grand Avenue West of the closure, (Hewitt Place Court to
Taylorsville Road) will have access to Taylorsville Road only

* Grand Avenue East of the closure (Public Works to Watterson
Trail), will have access to Watterson Trail only

We had an unexpected visitor today during the storms! 🌪️😂

A workbench decided to take a little ride down Taylorsville Road and eventually parked itself at the Jeffersontown Police Department. Apparently, it needed a safe place to wait out the weather! 🛠️🚔

If you’re missing a workbench and can describe it, give us a call at 502-267-0503.

We’d really like to get this wandering workbench back home! 😂

A huge shoutout to the Bill Young Memorial Foundation for their incredible donation of 250 backpacks filled with school supplies! 🎒📚

Because of your generosity, these backpacks have already made a direct impact on students in our Jeffersontown-area schools, helping ensure they have the tools they need to start the school year prepared and confident.

We are 1 week away from National Night Out here at the Jeffersontown Police Department. Come hang out with us on Tuesday August 4th from 5p to 7p. We are giving away 2 backpacks with schools supplies every 10 minutes plus we are giving away 4 tickets to Kings Island.
