Heads up if you’re visiting the Jeffersontown Amphitheater this evening!

There are some restricted parking areas (Jeffersonian Lot, Veterans Park lot). After you park your vehicle, look around for “No Parking” signs to ensure you are not in violation. The main one, is pictured. This is located at the lot for The Jeffersonian nearest the ball-field.

Most importantly be safe and enjoy your time in Jeffersontown!

Great teamwork by many agencies involved-

Louisville agents, working with Louisville Metro Police, Jeffersontown Police, and Shelby County Sherrif’s Office seized 15 pounds of m**hamphetamine earlier this week. The m**h originated in Mexico and is tied to the CJNG cartel. The United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA

Jeffersontown Residents,

Metro Louisville Public Works Department of Transportation (DOT) has informed us that Moser Road, between Grandin Wood Road and Watterson Trail, will be closed to the public beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, with a proposed completion day of Friday, July 3, 2026. (weather permitting). This closure will facilitate the construction of an extended right turn lane onto Watterson Trail.

The City of Jeffersontown has not been involved in the design or any facet of this project. This is a Louisville Metro Public Works DOT project.

Unfortunately, it is going to cause people delays and extra travel time. Please plan your trips accordingly.

Post update: 11:06am: owners notified and are enroute to pick her up! Thank you Jtown for assisting us

Look at this lost pup, do you know the owners? We’re sure her owners are looking for her since she is recently groomed.

This sweet baby was brought to the Jeffersontown Police Department overnight. She was found on Pine Lake Dr off of Six Mile Ln. Unfortunately she is not chipped and no address on the tags. If this sassy girl is yours or you know who she belongs to please call us at (502) 267-0503.

National Police Week reminds us to honor the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reflect on the legacy they leave behind. For more than 60 years, this observance has grown into a powerful moment of remembrance for law enforcement across the nation.

It’s also a time to recognize the men and women who continue to wear the badge, vest, and duty belt every day—those who protect our neighborhoods, respond when we call, and serve with courage that often goes unseen.

J-Town! We have a new team member!

Meet K9-Fonz! Fonz is new to patrol and is tasked with supporting officers on the streets. Fonz has had a wide array of training locally and out of state. Fonz is about to turn 3 years old. He is a multi-use working K-9 that can aid officers in many scenarios. We welcome K9-Fonz to the team and are thankful to have another tool to support our operations for a safer community.
