The Jeffersonville Housing Authority (JHA) was established May 1, 1961 by the Common Council of The City of Jeffersonville. Jeffersonville is located along the Ohio River in Southern Indiana across the river from Louisville, Kentucky; the Jeffersonville Housing Authority is a Public Housing Agency servicing the city of Jeffersonville, Indiana pursuant to the state and federal laws. JHA’s goal is t

o provide affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing to income-eligible residents in the community. Funding is provided primarily from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and revenues derived from rents and fees. For more information about HUD go to www.HUD.gov. This November, Jeff Housing hosted a Thanksgiving Luncheon for the Clark Arms community of residents. The residents enjoyed a catered meal, drinks, and desserts together in fellowship with the staff of Jeff Housing coming together to celebrate the season of giving.

Interested to see a peak of our Healthy Living Workshops? We have Emma from Purdue Extension teaching us about nutrition, how to form routine, in depth nutrition information, mental health and self care, exercise tips, and Maris with Jeff Housing discussing decluttering and housekeeping. The residents names went in a drawing for goodies at the end! Was a wonderful event!

Did someone say Pancakes with Santa? That’s exactly what Jeffersonville Housing Authority did this December 16th, at the Spring Hill EnVision Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Families enjoyed a Pancake Breakfast made by Gilt Edge Church, jackets donated by Gilt Edge and Jeff Housing, pictures with Santa, books from the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, and most of all time with their families. Several Jeff Housing employees came together to make this event successful.
