Here are the expected snowfall amounts with the big storm on the way. The snow will be dry and fluffy, so while the risk for power outages is low, the snow will be easily stirred up by moving vehicles, causing poor visibility.

Freezing rain will develop and overspread NY then VT this evening and tonight, continuing for most into the Monday's morning commute. Hazardous travel will be the main impact, but isolated power outages may be possible in areas of highest ice accumulation or in combination with strong winds. Please plan your travel accordingly, possibly curtailing any travel or alternating times to avoid the harshest conditions.
