Jeffersonville Urban Enterprise Zone

Jeffersonville Urban Enterprise Zone The Jeffersonville Urban Enterprise Zone encourages development, or redevelopment, in parts of the city where it might not otherwise occur.

By designating areas where companies may be exempt from certain local, state, and federal taxes and restrictions, the Jeffersonville Urban Enterprise Zone, helps foster an environment where local businesses can locate, grow, flourish—and create jobs. To date, more than 2,000 U.S. businesses have participated in local Urban Enterprise Zone programs, creating thousands of jobs and investing billions of dollars in their communities. We can help you do the same.

Safety Town registration is now open! You can sign up for either an a.m. or afternoon session. Camps will be held June 3-7 and June 10-14 at the brand new Safety Town located at the Jeffersonville Fire Dept.

Safety Town is an awesome program for children (ages 5-7) to learn rules and guidelines on how to be safe around electricity, fire, and water. They also learn about stranger-danger, drug awareness and helmet, bike and traffic safety. This is a free program and lunch is provided. Special thanks to the Pilot Club of Jeffersonville, Indiana for making these classes possible for more than 50 years!

We are delaying the start of the Dumpster Drop-offs this week in response to Tuesday's storms.

As clean-up begins, our Sanitation and Street departments are working hard to get all available city dumpsters stationed in the hard-hit neighbohoods including Boulder Creek, Steeplechase, Brookhollow, and Crystal Springs.
