Our meeting on Tuesday the 17th was quite eventful. Our Lions Camp brick for Lion Rick has arrived and Lions Barry & Mike shared their journey to Jekyll Island. In addition, we sent off our long-time Tribuzio's server, Cheyenne, with a gift to ease her transition. We wish her Good Luck and God Speed!

The Jekyll Lion Lions Club celebrated the $3000 donated to the The Salvation Army of Brunswick, GA at our meeting last night! The club has organized the kettle ringing on Jekyll Island for the last 40 or so year. Thank you to our community bell ringers for ringing the kettle with the Lions! This afternoon a few members of the Jekyll Island Lions Club visited Howard Sculthorpe in his hospital room to honor him with the Lions International Life Membership Award. This is in recognition of his outstanding dedicated years of service to Lionism. He is among 55,000 Lions worldwide who have been approved as Life Members. Howard is recovering from surgery and was thrilled to celebrate this with his friends.

We ring the Kettle Bell each year! Assisted by the Jekyll Island Rotarians and residents. A 100% volunteer operation. Come say Hi and help those helped by the Salvation Army. 11 to 3 each day through Christmas Eve.

The second Jekyll Island Lions Club cheese sale of the season will take place this Saturday! The Salvation Army Kettle will be near by! Help the Lions do good by buying cheese and throwing some change in the kettle!

One pound baby swiss cheese wedges are $13, two pound wheels are $20. Pecans will also be up for sale. Roasted & salted, chocolate covered or caramel cluster pecan bags are $13 each or two for $25. All are very tasty!

All of these yummy items will be sold outside of the Jekyll Market from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
