Walking tour #4 of Hometown Hero Banners. Starting at 1267 Fifth Street, at the Cash Express/Dr. Anders Dentist Office, and proceeding toward the I-75 Interchange to 1390 Fifth Street at the site of the Urgent Care building. This was the 2nd year of the program by the Jellico Honor Guard and Herman Heath. Banners were ordered for deceased veterans by family members providing DD214 forms, photos of the government grave markers, photos of the veterans, and paying $150.00 per banner. 47 were ordered in 2025. 44 were ordered in 2026 with this year's highly publicized ordering period ending on March 31. Orders then went to the vendor for printing. Jellico Utiliities does the installation on utility poles. Thanks to that crew! I relate the whole detailed process with each posting because we get so many questions, which is a good thing, because folks simply want to know the details.
