At the Monday night, June 15th, Campbell County Commission meeting, I was extremely honored and humbled to receive a proclamation. Thanks to 5th District Commissioner Tyler King for moving, unbeknown to me, this proclamation forward. The last 23 years of work, embedded in the community as Jellico library director, seem like a blink in retrospect. I have immensely enjoyed serving my fellow humanity. I sincerely hope I have always made you, the library customer, feel welcome any time you swung open a library door, called on the phone, e-mailed, sent a text, or interacted on social media.

Monday night, June 15th, Campbell County Commission recognized the high level of professional services the four libraries in the county: Jellico, LaFollette, Jacksboro and Caryville, add to the equation of building a strong Campbell County to live in. Providing information × programming + excellent customer service ÷ benefits to patrons = empowered community members. In my 23 years of library work, this was the first time for an official local recognition of the four libraries' substantial contributions to Campbell County. We appreciated the standing ovation and the recognition!
Campbell County Health Department was recognized as well, and received a standing ovation, after an impressive bio of the work they do. Kudos and accolades to them!

Kudos to Jellico Utilities employees Brad Douglas and Travis Bowlin for all their hard work and dedication in displaying the Hometown Hero Banners. Installation photos are ones I made back on May 12th. This is no easy job out in traffic and constantly up and down in a bucket truck. Thanks to Jellico Utilities manager Joe Carroll for his support. Thanks to Herman Heath for administering the Hometown Banner program in Jellico and all his organizational skills.
