We are saddened to have to announce the passing of our former Mayor, Eddie Reed.
His passing leaves a void in our hearts.
Mayor Reed was not only our leader, but he was a friend to us all. Mayor Reed served the City of Jemison and our citizens for more than half of a century holding Public Office, and as a school teacher. He leaves behind an ever- lasting legacy to say the least. The Reed family has been a cornerstone in our community for a long time.

Please join us in keeping the entire Reed family in your thoughts and prayers.

This bill is up for debate in the Alabama House. It has already passed in the Alabama Senate. This bill is necessary for ambulance services to be able to stay in business. The costs of apparatus, equipment, supplies, and personnel continue to skyrocket, while reimbursements are remaining stagnant or even declining. Even most commercial insurance carriers are in support, except for one that is fighting against. Their interest is only in the bottom line, and not that of the citizens of Alabama. Please let your local congressman know that their support of this bill is necessary to continue providing essential services to the citizens of Alabama.

We have seen this positive outcome many times since we started carrying blood!

Garry Taylor said first responders administered prehospital blood transfusions following a October 2024 wreck, a decision doctors say significantly improved his chances of survival.
