Jemison Public Library

Jemison Public Library The Jemison Public Library serves the Jemison community by providing free information via books, internet access, and learning programs.

The Jemison Public Library, a branch of the Chilton-Clanton Public Library, is located at 160 Main Street, across from Jemison Fire Dept. The library offers membership to area residents so that they may borrow books and access the internet through our Media Center. The library also serves the community through educational programs like the summer reading program and weekly story time. Along with monthly programs for all ages to provide enrichment and meet the needs of our community.

The History Class at the Jemison Public Library has been changed to Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 p.m. Derrick Scott will be presenting interesting information along with Jemison's own Ms. Betty Giles. Bring your friends and come join the fun!

We will not have Story Hour on Wednesday Mar. 25, but plan to bring your Easter basket for our annual Easter Egg Hunt in Jemison Park on Wednesday April 1, 2026. See you next Wednesday!

November is already here! We have lots of fun lined up for the month.
Reading about Thanksgiving and fun Turkey Crafts for the kids during Story Hour!
You can meet the local author Liz Huntley during our Book Club meeting, and take a walk through the History of Chilton Co. with Mr Derric.
Make plans to work off those extra pounds with our 2 amazing Workout Programs!
Then relax at Studio J as you create an beautiful mosaic or paint a lovely picture with Ms B.

The month of September is already on us! Here is the Program Calendar for the month.
Please note the time change on the Tuesday Aerobics and the new Circuit Workout on Thursday. Plus, Mr. Derric is coming again this month for another great presentation on the History of Chilton County.
Also, bring family and friends to paint rocks on the 25th! The ones in our Rock Garden at the Library are faded. Join us for the fun! See you in September.

Due to the Mayoral Election in City Hall Auditorium, Aerobics Class will be canceled this evening. We will meet on Thursday with Ashley's Work Out Class starting at 6pm. Then Aerobics next Tuesday! We look forward to seeing you!
