What a great start to our first day of school!

Some of our seniors began their last first day of high school by gathering to watch the sunrise together, followed by a special breakfast to kick off the year.

Across the District, our students arrived with smiles, excited to see friends and ready to begin a new school year. There is nothing quite like the energy of the first day!

We are so excited for all that 2026-2027 will bring. Go Drakes! ❤️💙

Today officially kicked off our Welcome Back to Staff for the 2026-2027 School Year!

We began the day with our Opening Convocation, led by Superintendent Dr. Brea D’Angelo, as we welcomed our faculty and staff back and looked ahead to the year to come.

This week will be filled with professional learning, collaboration, planning, and preparation as our staff gets ready for what matters most: welcoming our Drakes back for another great school year!

We are excited for all that 2026-2027 will bring. ❤️💙

Help Shape the Future of Jenkintown Schools

The Jenkintown School District is seeking parents and guardians, Jenkintown business owners, community members, teachers, staff, and high school students interested in serving on our Comprehensive Planning Steering Committee.

The Comprehensive Plan will help establish District priorities, identify goals, and guide our work and decision-making for the coming years. We want a variety of voices and perspectives at the table as we plan for Jenkintown’s future.

Committee members must be available to attend all three in-person meetings:

October 8, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
November 5, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
January 13, 2027 at 6:30 p.m.

Submission of the form does not guarantee placement on the committee. The District will work to create a Steering Committee that represents a broad range of perspectives from across the Jenkintown community.

U.S. News & World Report has honored Jenkintown High School by ranking the school 49th out of 675 high schools in Pennsylvania (top 7%) and 1,335th out of 17,945 in the nation (top 7%) in its 2026-2027 Best Schools Report.

Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation rates, and how well they prepare students for college.

This acknowledgement highlights the collaborative efforts of our students, staff, and families.
