More than 900 applicants. Just 50 selected. And one of them is a Trojan!

Congratulations to Jenks Middle School student Vung Buansing on being selected for the The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program, a highly competitive national program for exceptional students. As a Young Scholar, Vung will be paired with an educational adviser who will work with her throughout high school, providing individualized academic guidance, college preparation, and access to opportunities and resources to help her pursue her goals. Vung is also part of the AVID program at JMS, where her AVID teacher, Noel Suggs, has provided continuous support and encouragement throughout her journey. What an incredible distinction and the beginning of an opportunity that can support Vung for years to come. Congratulations, Vung! We are so excited to see whatโ€™s ahead!

Jenks High School welcomed representatives from 72 colleges, technical schools, and military academies for the 2026 Tulsa Area College Fair. Students and families had the opportunity to connect directly with admissions representatives, ask questions, and learn more about the many paths available after high school.

Thank you to the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC) and JHS College & Career for bringing so many opportunities to our students in one place!

Incoming 7th graders got a head start on middle school at Jenks Middle School's WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Orientation! With the help of 8th grade WEB Leaders, students toured JMS, picked up their schedules and IDs, met new friends, and got a feel for whatโ€™s ahead. A big thank you to our WEB Leaders for helping our incoming 7th graders feel welcome and supported as they make the transition to middle school. See you August 13!

One for the books!
What a privilege to cut the ribbon for the completed renovation and expansion of the Jenks Freshman Academy. Years of work, planning, and construction reached the finish line today and will pay off for many future generations of Trojans. Thank you to our partners, Crossland Construction, Gshelms & Associates Architecture, and Lindsay Farr. Most of all, thank you to our community for supporting JPS bond elections and believing in the vision to continuously improve our district. Can't wait to welcome students on the first day!
