Summer is almost here, and at Tulsa Girls’ Home that means one thing... it’s time for our annual staff outing! ☀️💛

Before we dive into a summer full of teenage girls, young adults, therapy sessions, life skills, laughter, and all the unexpected moments in between, our team takes a little time to connect, recharge, and build each other up.

We love what we do, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world... but let’s be honest, these girls definitely keep us on our toes!

Once school starts back in August, there’s a very real chance we’ll be celebrating with our traditional “We Survived Summer” dinner. 😂

Any parents out there feeling the same way? 🙋‍♀️

Here’s to a summer full of growth, memories, and a lot of coffee. 💕 Shout out to for hosting our team!

We had such a special day at Tulsa Girls’ Home thanks to Another Beachin’ Tee and the incredible Amy!

She showed up ready to pour into our girls, bringing everything needed to create custom shirts and, more importantly, an experience they won’t forget. The girls got to step into the creative process, design their own pieces, and see firsthand what it looks like to turn an idea into something real.

We are so grateful for people like Amy who take the time to show up, invest, and inspire creativity!

It took 17 years to finally have a “real” birthday party.

Today, at 17, she wasn’t just celebrated, she was surrounded.

Surrounded by the girls at Tulsa Girls’ Home, the ones she now calls sisters. Surrounded by friends from school, because for the first time, she’s been able to put down roots, to stay, to build real relationships.

And the truth is—this shouldn’t be rare.
This should be normal.

But we still have a long way to go.

So today, we pause and celebrate something deeply meaningful—our sweet girl turning 17, laughing, bowling, and making memories with people who show up for her.

Moments like this matter. They begin to replace the ones that once held hurt and pain. They remind her she is seen, valued, and not alone.

To everyone who supports Tulsa Girls’ Home—thank you. You are helping create memories that heal, that restore, and that last.

Today, we celebrate. 🎳💛

From the Kitchen to the Heart 🤍

At Tulsa Girls’ Home, volunteers like Ms. Helen remind us that impact doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it starts in the kitchen.

Through baking, shared meals, and small thoughtful gestures, she’s helping our girls build confidence, learn life skills, and experience what it feels like to be seen and cared for. What looks like cooking is really connection, growth, and healing happening in real time.

“Cooking is a life skill you only learn by doing.”
“I want them to know they are seen, valued, and loved.”
“The kitchen can be a place of creativity and confidence.”

We’ve watched teamwork form, apologies happen, and relationships grow — all around a table. One moment that stuck with her most: “We worked it out.”

Ms. Helen says the girls have changed her just as much as she’s poured into them:”Because I knew them, I have been changed for good.”

Because here, it’s never just about the recipe — it’s about the heart behind it.

Throwing it back to the day so many incredible people from BattleCreek Church showed up ready to serve during Spring Break. They rolled up their sleeves, tackled handy projects, worked hard, and helped prepare our campus with generosity and heart.

What may have looked like simple projects at the time was so much more. They were helping build something meaningful, a place where girls can feel safe, seen, and supported.

Today, our campus truly stands as a place of refuge for our girls, and moments like that helped make it possible. We are deeply grateful for every hand that served and every person who believed in this mission.

“We did not build buildings just to fill space, we built them so girls who have known instability can finally know what it feels like to stay.” — Brittany Stokes

Spring feels different at Tulsa Girls’ Home. For the first time since opening our doors, every building on our campus is complete, but the real story has always been the girls inside them.

Every room, every porch light, every counseling space, and every townhome was built with one purpose: creating stability long enough for healing to take root.

As our campus stands finished, hope continues to rise each day through laughter at the dinner table, first jobs, counseling breakthroughs, school victories, and young women beginning to believe in themselves again.

We invite you to read our latest blog and see how this small corner of Jenks is helping change the future for girls in foster care.

A time was absolutely had at Tulsa Girls’ Home’s (for two of our girls) very first Prom!

The girls were in the car 6 minutes early, smelling extra fancy with perfume drenched in the best way, chewing gum, fixing hair, and full of nonstop giggles. The excitement was contagious.

Watching them glow with confidence, joy, and pure teenage fun was something special. Nights like this matter — moments to feel celebrated, carefree, beautiful, and simply be girls.

Memories were made, laughs were loud, and our hearts are full. First prom in the books… and what a magical one it was 💖✨

Some stories deserve to be heard straight from the voices living them. 💛

In our latest Q&A with a Resident at Tulsa Girls’ Home, one young woman shared what life was like before finding safety and support:

"Before I was here, I wasn’t confident at all. I worried about everything and was super anxious."

Today, she says she has learned: "I can do more in life and follow my dreams."

When asked what she wants to be one day, her answer was powerful: "I would like to be a 911 dispatcher so I can help people stay calm in really scary and hard situations."

And when asked what people should know about Tulsa Girls’ Home: "They make sure we stay connected to the people who matter to us."

This is why Tulsa Girls’ Home exists—to provide healing, stability, and hope for girls in foster care. Because when young women are supported, believed in, and given opportunity, their future can change.

“Even when a child feels out of control, they need to know we won’t give up on them.”

At Tulsa Girls’ Home, this is what healing looks like.

It looks like sitting in the middle of the hard moments…
when voices get loud, when emotions spill over, when everything feels broken — and choosing to stay anyway.

Felicia, one of our advocates, shared: “Watching that transformation from sadness to laughter feels amazing. It’s like rescuing someone from a burning building.”

This is the work. This is the impact. This is what happens when someone finally feels safe enough to be seen.

“Encouraging them when they doubt themselves… shows them that I really do care.”

There is so much more to her story — the moments that will stay with you long after you read them.
