Jericho Town Library

Jericho Town Library A little library with a lot of heart! Jericho Town Library has been serving the community for over 120 years.

Nestled on the Town Green in Jericho Center, the historic library offers a curated collection of over 7,000 items, which includes books, audiobooks, DVDs, board games, a "Library of Things" with nontraditional items like snowshoes, and discount passes to local museums and attractions. Jericho Town Library provides free Wi-Fi indoors and across the Town Green, two public access computers and a prin

ter, a children's STEM Makerspace and 3D printer, a seed lending library, and a delivery service for homebound patrons. As part of the HomeCard network, Jericho Town Library cardholders can check out materials from most libraries in nearby counties. Items from more remote libraries can easily be requested via interlibrary loan. All patrons also have access to a rich collection of thousands of free online eBooks and audiobooks.

Did you know that Jericho Town Library's building is 200 years old this year? Our charming and historic library is in need of critical structural repairs, including work on the foundation, attic, cupola, and front porch. We hope to fold this work into a renovation project which will also make the building accessible to all community members. To accomplish this goal, we need your help!

How can you get involved?
*Keep attending programs and checking out materials.
*Join our newly reactivated Friends group.
*Attend one of our upcoming fundraisers.
*Donate your money or time to the project.

Fundraiser information:
*Family Movie Night on Friday, October 17th, at 6pm. Come enjoy a PG-rated movie on the second floor of our building. All donations (optional but suggested $5-10) will go towards our building project. Registration is encouraged, please visit our website for the movie title or to register.
*Costume Party & Fundraiser at Ale & Bean on Saturday, October 25th, 4-7pm. Enjoy food, drinks, live music, and tabletop games from JTL's collection. We're launching a new book club for adults this spring! If you're interested in connecting with other community members to discuss current events and important social issues in our local communities and broader society, this is the book club for you. Each month, we will center our reading and discussion around a particular topic, with a suggested nonfiction book to help focus our conversation. For those who are interested in participating but can't commit to reading an entire book, we will also share recommendations for shorter articles, podcasts, and videos related to our central reading.

If you're interested in this group, please help us by filling out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/cKSQiAcKkEHdvpVf9 - we'll use your feedback to select the first topic of discussion and to find a meeting time that works best for interested parties.
