BIG NEWS: Right to Counsel has secured FIVE council votes for passage at June 14th's Jersey City Council meeting 🎉

With the ordinance poised for approval, we must continue to organize and ensure that the city commits to housing justice by enforcing RTC.

With Jersey City Council members DeGise & Rivera on board, the city's right to counsel proposal is poised for approval at next week's meeting.

“We (see) the organizing and advocacy part of this (as) really important,” he said. “Also working with existing and even not-existing tenant organizations to be really important for making sure that right-to-counsel is administered from the ground up from the level of tenant education.”

Proposed additions to the program include an earlier starting date an an educational rights campaign.
