December 11, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Bay City Department of Public Safety officers responded to the 1100 block of N Jackson St on Bay City's east side to arrest 23-year-old Eshawn Langston for bond violations. Langston, known for prior confrontations with law enforcement, was found in a vehicle with his 1-year-old child. When officers informed him of his arrest, he refused to exit the vehicle, prompting officers to forcibly enter.Langston attempted to flee, colliding with a police vehicle. During the struggle, he used his child as a human shield and brandished a knife, stabbing two officers. Both officers received medical treatment and were released. Langston was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of assaulting police causing injury. The child was unharmed and safely reunited with the mother.

on March 21,2023 in Brown County, Wisconsin, a 911 call reported a reckless driver who appeared to be falling asleep at the wheel. Cop cam footage shows the driver, exhibiting signs of intoxication, involved in a collision with the caller. Despite initially denying alcohol consumption, the driver's behavior and failed sobriety test, captured on cop cam, led to a DUI arrest.

The following video provides information regarding a death in U.S. Border Patrol custody which occurred on February 17, 2024, at the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint located on Interstate 35 (I-35) approximately 25 miles north of Laredo, Texas. On September 12, 2024, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) notified COPA of an on-duty weaponsdischarge at an animal. Preliminary information indicates this incident began when a Chicago Policeofficer observed two dogs attacking a victim while patrolling the area. As the officer was exiting theirvehicle, a concerned citizen, who is also a concealed carry license holder, discharged their firearm atboth dogs, fatally wounding one. The second dog remained next to the victim as Chicago FireDepartment personnel arrived to aid the victim. As a result, the officer discharged their firearm, fatallywounding the second dog. The individual who was attacked by the dogs was not struck by gunfire duringthe incident.
