We’re looking back at last week’s Back-to-School BBQ! Although the rain moved the celebration into the gym, it certainly didn’t stop the fun—or our TECCS community from showing up!

📚✨ Welcome Back, TECCS!

Today marked the first day of our 2026–2027 school year, and it was wonderful to see our hallways filled with smiling faces, excitement, and positive energy!

Our students spent the day reconnecting with friends, meeting their teachers, and settling into their classrooms. Thank you to our families, teachers, and staff for helping us begin the year on such a positive note.

We are excited to introduce two meaningful opportunities that recognize student achievement, leadership, and future success:

🏅 National Junior Honor Society
Recognizing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

🎓 8th Grade Signing Day
Celebrating our eighth graders as they proudly announce where they are headed for high school and prepare for their next chapter.

🎓👏 The Final Walk. One Last Time. 👏🎓

Today, our 8th graders took one final walk through the halls of TECCS, where they were celebrated by students and staff who cheered them on every step of the way. 💙💛

These hallways have witnessed years of learning, laughter, friendships, and growth. As our graduates prepare to begin a new chapter, we are reminded of just how far they have come and all that lies ahead.

Our 1R students explored this exciting science question by researching different animals and discovering how their unique eyes and ears help them survive in the wild! From sharp eagle vision to the incredible hearing of bats, students learned how animal adaptations help them navigate the world around them.

🎶🥁🎸 Music is in full swing for our 2nd graders!

Our students have been exploring the exciting world of music by learning to play the ukulele and drums. Through hands-on instruction, they are developing rhythm, coordination, listening skills, and musical confidence while having fun expressing their creativity. After months of creativity, collaboration, and hard work, students are putting the finishing touches on their Shark Tank projects and preparing to pitch their ideas. We can't wait to see their innovation in action! 🦈💡

Creativity + color theory + a little imagination 🤖🎨

Our students explored watercolor blow painting techniques while designing their very own watercolor robots! Through this project, students practiced cutting, gluing, and applying complementary colors to create unique works of art full of personality and creativity.

From bold color combinations to imaginative robot designs, each piece was completely original and showcased both artistic skill and self-expression.
