On this day 40 years ago, Jersey Shore Area EMS began providing paramedic coverage. From our humble beginnings of providing BLS care arose the need for advanced life support care. The service and call volume look much different today compared to 40 years ago but the mission has always been the same. Our organization continues to strive for providing top level prehospital care and being a model rural EMS agency.
