Yesterday, Trooper Jaden Fall answered a unique call for service -- an injured bald eagle found along I-70 in Howard County. He safely secured the bird and ensured it was transported to Frisky's Wildlife & Primate Sanctuary in Woodstock for care. Great work, Trooper Fall!

On Saturday, troopers from Waterloo, Frederick, and Hagerstown were out on I-70, working together to keep our roads safe from Howard to Washington counties.

In just 24 hours, their efforts led to:
✅ 233 citations & warnings
✅ 5 arrests for suspected DUI
✅ FOUR drivers stopped for going over 89 MPH in just 40 minutes by one Hagerstown trooper.

This four day, fully-funded program is designed for rising high school juniors, seniors, and incoming college freshmen who are interested in exploring meaningful careers in public service. Today marks the 35th anniversary of the tragic loss of Corporal Ted Wolf, who was killed in the line of duty on March 29, 1990, during a traffic stop on I-95 near MD 175.

A memorial service held at the Waterloo Maryland State Police Barracks this week in Howard County honored his legacy, bringing together fellow troopers, command staff, Corporal Wolf’s brother, and some of his shift partners from that fateful night in 1990.

Though 35 years have passed, Corporal Wolf’s bravery, dedication, and sacrifice are never forgotten. Corporal Wolf’s memory continues to inspire those who wear the badge and serve with integrity, fairness and service.

This morning, we had a fantastic time at Mad City Coffee for our Coffee with a Cop event. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, answer questions, and just have some good conversations over a cup of coffee. We also handed out brochures with helpful information about local resources and public safety.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by—we appreciate your time and support! And of course, a special shoutout to Mad City Coffee for hosting us.

🚓☕️ Coffee with a Cop – A Morning of Community Connection!

This morning, troopers from the Waterloo Barrack, along with officers from Howard County Police and Howard County Sheriff's Office, had a fantastic time meeting and connecting with members of our community at Chick-fil-A on Executive Park Drive.
