It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Coach Ignacio Palacio. He will definitely be remembered. We will miss you Coach Ignacio.

Funeral will be at First Baptist Church in Jesup on Saturday May 21st. Visitation will be 10 with funeral following at 11.

Among the high-profile athletes competing in popular sports such as swimming and gymnastics, three former Georgia 4-H’ers will make the flight across the Pacific to represent the U.S. in shooting sports.

After being postponed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are set to move forward at full speed starting Friday, July 23, when people from all over the world will tune in to watch the best of the best compete for gold in Japan.

The Coastal Georgia Gun Club is hosting a Youth Shooting Day on Saturday, May 29th! This event is FREE and lunch is provided.

Any participant under the age of 18 is welcome to the Coastal Georgia Gun Club Youth Shoot on every fifth Saturday. Range Officers on hand teach fi****ms safety and marksmanship using .22 rifles, .shotguns, archery and in the future, black powder rifles. The event lasts from 9am until 2pm with lunch and all materials and ammo provided at no charge to participants.

**This is not hosted by 4-H, and transportation is on your own.**

More than 300 youth from 25 counties participated in the 2021 Georgia 4-H State Virtual Archery Contest this year. Georgia 4-H continues to adapt its programs to create a safe environment for 4-H’ers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
