Family Connection was founded in the early 90's by former Governor Zell Miller after Georgia ranked 50th in the nation for family and children welfare. Family Connection is a community collaborative comprised of representatives from all government, state, and local institutions, businesses, and family members who have a vision for making Wayne County a great place to live, work, and play...for all

We assess the issues in our community, determine how our resources can best work together to address those issues, and focus on community development realizing that all citizens are valuable and have gifts, talents, skills, and abilities to contribute. Safe Kids of Wayne, Drug Free Wayne, Educated and Working Community, Positive Parenting and Prevent Child Abuse Wayne, and Youth Development. If you are unsure of where you best fit but have a passion for your community, we use the Asset Based Community Development model for determing gifts. Your Collaborative meets the 4th Monday of the month, except for July and December, at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Connection Office located across from the High School Base Ball Field entrance.
