Don't forget about this weekend's
Boot Scootin Ball
The Fair Board will be serving
Calf Fries, Hot Dogs, Beans, Corn, Salads, Chips, and Desserts
They also are having a Silent Auction and Raffle
Then at 8:00pm Weston Wilkerson Concert
Drink Koozie are available $10.00
For the Dinner and Concert it is only $15.00 for 13 and up and $5.00 for 12 and under!!
If you would like to come out for the concert only
13 and older is just $10.00 12 and under Free

Come on out and have a great time while you help raise money to keep improving the fair grounds.

This Thursday Meal starts at 5:30 pm at the Hodgeman County Fair Grounds
K-State Calving School featuring A.J. Tarpoff, DVM will cover topics such as: Stages of the normal calving process and tips to handle difficult calving situations. Demonstrate proper use of calving equipment on a life-size cow and calf model.
Also Dale Blasi - K-State Research & Extension Beef Cattle Nutritionist will discuss Limit Feeding Cows. Just call 620-357-8321 or 620-357-5315 to let us know you will be there.

Include host plants in your pollinator gardens! These host plants are the nurseries of the pollinator garden, where the eggs and immature insects grow before metamorphosis into butterflies and moths.

Some examples include:
Dill, fennel, and parsley- Eastern black swallowtail
Cassias- sulfur butterfly
Hollyhock- painted lady
Passion vines- Gulf fritillary butterfly
Milkweed- monarch butterfly
Bean plant- long-tailed skipper

Let's ZOOM....join us next week to watch, listen, & learn about the small livestock nomination process!

On Tuesday, May 16 @ 7PM, we're hosting a zoom meeting over the nomination process. It will include a demo of the online system, as well as some tips to help the process go smoothly! Pre-registration is required to receive the link. The session will be recorded and posted on the KSU YLP website a couple of days after the live meeting.
