Day 2 in Ledyard brought much more sunshine and nearly 100 doors. I am so grateful to be able to connect with people in our communities and to be supported by this wonderful team. Representative government, just like so many other jobs, is about building relationships, not with big time donors and power players, but with the real people whose lives we have the ability to impact in a positive way by fighting for District 45. Thank you to Cathy Osten, Kia and Jacob for taking the time to help me do that job well.

and Cathy Osten were undeterred by the rain and wind today. I can’t wait to be back in Ledyard tomorrow meeting with more of this awesome team and knocking on some doors!

Tonight I was endorsed to be the Democratic Candidate for District 45 State Representative. It was a short convention but it was really special. I have had this fire in me for a long time, a desire to do something to make the world better, and ever since 2016, that fire has been paired with a relentless sense of outrage.

Thank you so much to all of the delegates, friends, and my wonderful family. Special thank you to Leona Sharkey for being the chair and always knowing what needs to be done, and to Lew Button for delivering an incredibly kind nomination speech, and one that I will commit myself to living up to.

I am excited for this work, to meet so many more people in our community, and to win this election so that I can go to Hartford and fight for the 45th the way that they deserve.

Let’s get this done.
