After a great deal of discussion and careful consideration, the CMP Board has made the decision that there will not be a makeup weekend for the canceled rodeo.

This was not an easy decision, but after weighing all of the logistics, scheduling, and other factors, we feel it is the best choice for this season.

We want to sincerely thank every contestant, parent, grandparent, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made the 2026 Cinnabar Mountain Playday season possible. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and support each of you gives to this organization.

🚨 Event Cancellation 🚨

After carefully monitoring the road closures and air quality, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s CMP event. The safety of our contestants, families, and volunteers, will always be our top priority, and we feel this is the best decision given the current conditions.

At this time, it is still to be determined whether this event will be rescheduled. We are exploring our options and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support. We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate everyone who was planning to join us this weekend. Please keep an eye on our page for the latest updates.

🚨 CMP Weekend Update 🚨

We are closely monitoring both the closure of Highway 26 and the current air quality to ensure the safety of all of our contestants, families, volunteers, and spectators this weekend.

At this time, no decisions have been made. We will continue evaluating conditions and will make a final decision by 12:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, July 24, 2026).

We are also closely monitoring the air quality and will continue to keep an eye on conditions throughout the week. The safety of our contestants, families, volunteers, and horses is our top priority. If any schedule changes become necessary, we will communicate them as soon as possible on our page.
