When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray
table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never
charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails,
it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly.

After 18 years serving the city of Johns Creek, Johns Creek Fire Department would like to congratulate Fire Apparatus Operator Carlton "Corky" Flora on his retirement. Over his 33 years in the fire service, Carlton has served in several departments including the cities of Tifton, Forsyth and Sandy Springs as well as often helping train new recruits at the Georgia Fire Academy. Lastly, Carlton was one of the founding members of the Johns Creek Fire Department when it formed in 2008. Thank you for your service, leadership and mentorship - you will be missed!

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is
warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or
color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away
from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can
overheat and start a fire.
