The transition from wartime deployments and active military service into civilian life has a wide-ranging impact on the quality of life for our veterans. The loss of your “military identity” is the greatest issue. After the empowerment of successfully completing specialized training and having responsibility for the lives of others and millions of dollars of equipment, many veterans feel rejected, misunderstood, empty, angry and totally lacking a purpose in civilian life. Veterans often find that their military experience and the military vernacular is not accepted or meaningful in the civilian world. Often veterans may even seem to be too intense or ‘driven’. Rapha Ranch Veterans Ministries works with veterans to channel this energy toward God’s plan and purpose for their life. A key element of the growth and development of this veteran’s ministry is training veterans to minister to other veterans – Thus bringing unity back into the veteran society while growing God’s kingdom.
