Calling all readers in grades 4 through 12!

Sponsored by the Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian, and the Illinois Center for the Book, Letters About Literature is a statewide reading and writing promotion. Students in grades 4–12 are invited to read a book of their choice, reflect on it, and write a personal letter to its author explaining the impact this work had on them.

Thank you to Sarah Michehl from The Land Conservancy of McHenry County for coming out last night to present Native Plants for Sunny Gardens. She also presented the library with our Conservation @ Work sign for the library's native garden project!

Big thanks especially to Melanie for her continual (and ongoing) hard work bringing this native plant project to the library! We can't wait to see how this garden project develops.
