Officers with and McGruff The Crime Dog recently spent some time with young patients at Niswonger Children's Hospital through our program.

An Endangered Child Alert has been issued on behalf of the Washington County Sheriff's Office - TN for 15-year-old Gabriella Carpenter. She was last seen this morning in Gray wearing a brown, cropped t-shirt, blue Cookie Monster pajama pants, and black-and-white Converse shoes. Gabriella is 5’4” tall, 145 lbs. with purple hair and brown eyes.

The conversation covered a range of topics that impact all age groups – from everyday online habits to the ways technology can create new opportunities for criminals. Investigators shared information that had many in attendance taking a second look at their online habits and those of their loved ones.

UPDATE 12:20 p.m. - The roadway is clear, and the lane is now open.

🚨Traffic Alert🚨

One eastbound lane of I-26 at mile marker 21.2 is currently closed following a collision involving a large pickup truck towing a dump trailer and a guardrail. No injuries have been reported.

Crews are working to clear the roadway.

Please use caution if traveling through the area and expect delays.

E-bikes are a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and explore our community. Please keep in mind a few simple steps to keep everyone safe.

*Riders must obey traffic laws and yield to pedestrians.
*Riders under 16 must wear a helmet.
*City code prohibits anyone over 16 from operating an e-bike on a sidewalk, except when supervising a child while riding. In those cases, the e-bike's motor must be disabled.
