During National Cleaning Week, we’re highlighting a program that does so much more than tidy up: our Personal Support Services (PSS) program.

PSS helps older adults and individuals with disabilities remain safely in their own homes by providing practical, day-to-day assistance and meaningful support.

Services may include:
-- Housekeeping Tasks
Laundry, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dishes, and changing bed linens
-- Meal Preparation & Limited Personal Care Assistance
-- Essential Errands
Prescription pick-up, grocery shopping, household supply shopping, and essential bill payments
-- Scheduling & Organization
Arranging appointments, preparing transportation, budgeting assistance, and connecting clients with community resources
-- Emotional Support & Encouragement

These services not only help maintain a clean and safe living environment, they also promote dignity, stability, and independence.

Because sometimes, a little extra help at home makes all the difference in staying at home.

Every story matters, and at FTHRA, we’re honored to be part of so many across Northeast Tennessee.

On World Storytelling Day, we celebrate the journeys of the older adults, families, riders, volunteers, and job seekers we serve. From a warm meal delivered with a smile to a ride that keeps someone connected to their community, every moment tells a story of care, resilience, and hope.

Our mission is to strengthen communities and improve quality of life. The stories we witness each day remind us why that work matters.
