One of our favorite ways to give back to downtown. 💛

Connect Downtown Johnson City is proud to continue our microgrant program, awarding $35,000 to 13 downtown businesses this year!

The work we do throughout the year, including our events and other initiatives, allows us to reinvest those dollars directly back into our downtown businesses and support projects that help them continue to grow.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the businesses that invest so much into downtown Johnson City, and we’re excited to see these projects come to life!

Connect Downtown, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Johnson City, announced Tuesday that 13 area businesses received micro-grants totaling around $35,000.

We’re adding a little friendly competition to Lawnstock! Grab a partner and sign up for the Lawnstock Co****le Tournament on Saturday, August 22. ✌️

Bags fly at 2 PM on the Founders Park Great Lawn. The tournament is FREE to enter and will be double elimination, so every team is guaranteed at least two games.

We’ve only got room for 16 teams of two, so snag your spot before the bracket fills up!

And yes, there are prizes on the line. 👀 The winning team will take home gift cards to Downtown Johnson City businesses + Lawnstock bragging rights.

🎨 Calling all artists!

Connect Downtown Johnson City is looking for artists to help bring more public art to downtown through our Traffic Control Box Art Wrap Project.

Selected artists will create original designs that will be installed on traffic control boxes throughout Downtown Johnson City.

Applications are open to artists 18+ across the U.S., with a $500 honorarium for each selected artist.

Deadline: August 31 at 4 PM ET
